Misogynists are people that hate women for their own reasons. Sometimes it is the brought up of men that makes them misogynists or sometimes its an abnormality of their minds. There is no religion or law in the world that allow men to hit women. Pouring acid, burning a girl, ironing her body and confining her for long times is out of question. However people in most male oriented societies are not aware of all that.
We are planning to organize a workshop in Islamabad in which we are planning to invite Judges, Lawyers, Doctors, People from the Government and people from the civil society. That workshop will highlight the problems faced by women because of misogynists and the possible solutions to such problems. The workshop will also focus on the need of new special law to be enacted in this respect.
