Project to resolve Energy Crises in Pakistan

Pakistan is a wonderful land with having natural rivers that can be best used for electricity production. Researches have shown that the cheapest mean of producing electricity is by making it from water. For that a grid station is basically built. The cost of building a grid station is high because it generally requires the production of dam, spilways along with placement of turbines for the production of electricity on them.

Pakistan has energy crises all over the country for various reasons. There is electricity load shedding for around 10-15 hours in the villages of Pakistan and 6-8 hours in the main cities including the capital. A fact is that there is no dam built in Pakistan for nearly about 50 years. That is one of the reasons of electricity shortage in Pakistan. At the moment 60% electricity production of Pakistan is based on dams and 40% on the private grid stations that work on furnace oil. There is a strong requirement of new dams or minor projects that should be made on emergency bases so that the crises is dealt properly.

One of the successful areas in terms of electricity production in Pakistan is the province of Gilgit Baltistan. There is a good system of electricity built in the province by Agha Khan foundation with the help of international agencies. Almost whole of the province has no electricity shortage as it is running on small turbines. There are fast flowing rivers in the province that are great for electricity production when turbines are placed on them. Similarly in several areas there are natural streams and reservoirs are made at the end of streams. Similarly there is are electricity production rooms that play their role in such areas.

Energy crises can end up in Pakistan easily if a similar strategy is adopted in the other provinces. The Kabul river flows through half of the province of KPK which can be used for electricity production in the similar manner. Similarly Indus, Jhelum, Chanab, Ravi and Sutlej are five main rivers that flow through the provinces of Sindh and Punjab. Apart from that there are many small rivers that flow through the province of Baluchistan and in the other parts of country. There can be many small turbines built on these rivers in order to deal with the energy crises easily.

The team of HART is willing to work on this project. We have engineers, graduates and experienced professionals in our team that can carry on any kind of major and minor project in this respect. The only problems we face in this respect is the funding for the project. For suggestions, sponsorships and ideas regarding this project you can write us at humanitytrust@hotmail.com so that we can mutually be part of resolving energy crises issue in Pakistan for the prosperity of humanity.
